As I was digging through my bin of cotton yarn looking for dishcloth supplies, I found many started and even finished dishcloths that I only vaguely remember making. Of course no ends are woven in on the finished ones...  Just looking at the yarn I already have and some of the things I knit gave me some inspiration. There are a few goals I have knocking around in my brain as far as knitting and my year of the dishcloth go.

1. Knit at least 12 dishcloths. I should be able to manage 1 a month
2. Learn brioche and knit a 2 color brioche dishcloth
3. Design and publish a free dishcloth pattern (I have so many ideas!)
4. Learn a new crochet stitch and crochet a dishcloth

I really have no idea how many I'll actually knit but I'm aiming low right now. I would love to have enough by next Christmas to give to family, babysitters, and daycare teachers but I'm not going to stress about it! I should add a 5th goal to enjoy this because learning new things and meeting a goal should be fun and enjoyable.

​I have some (not so) big plans to knit a dozen or so dishcloths this year. I have some new techniques I would like to try and sizable amount of cotton yarn in my stash to knit up.

I've been looking through this stitch dictionary for some easy ideas. I'm leaning towards more of the reversible stitches. First up is probably "Nubbly Tweed III" with some white and dark green yarn. A little over a week until the new year!
