I have several new kinds of yarn to post next week but I got some of the photos done on this very grey and overcast morning so I wanted to share.

The dark green is 100% cotton and would be great for baby clothes or summer items.

The orange and berry colored yarn is a silk blend that would make great socks. There is a bare version of this same yarn if you wanted to do some color work.

The grey/blue/green heathery yarn is 100% cashmere. The colors are all very soft and create an almost tonal effect when knit.

Check my shop this week for listings or contact me if you want something reserved just for you!

As an awesome gift my boyfriend purchased this yarn swift. It’s the mama bear swift and count and I love it! It is such a basic design, easy to assemble, easy to disassemble and store, and it just works great! I think this will make my yardage estimates much more accurate.

Everything in my little container garden is growing like crazy! I’ll have little cherry tomatoes and jalapenos in no time. Some of the green beans are growing well and some are a little slow. I’m excited to start eating some fresh veggies :)

I shipped out my 7th order today! I was so happy to get an order than wasn’t associated with the sneak attack that happened to me at the beginning of the month. There is an Etsy team called Handmade Movement and they help newer shops that have few or no sales and coordinate a friendly attack. I loved the idea so much that I joined them. I’m actually currently waiting patiently for today’s shops to be announced. (more info about this group at handmademovement.com)

I’ve been expanding my hand dyed yarns. I don’t think that’s what I really want my shop to be about because I don’t think I have the time to create dye lots for this yarn. Each sweater is different so the most yarn I could get to be a similar color would be about 5 skeins. I think I’m ok with just doing the single skein dye lots, especially if I can keep the skeins large enough for a whole project.
